About therapy

The core of my practice is informed by Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). However, I take an integrative approach to sessions, drawing on a range of therapeutic models to best support each person’s current state and stage of healing.

Initial sessions focus on gathering information about your current circumstances, your goals and readiness for therapeutic intervention, and your understanding of yourself and the world. I regularly provide psychological education, using metaphors and practical examples to offer context for your challenges and frameworks for deeper self-understanding.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens within safe, attuned relationships. Throughout our work together, I prioritise creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship that fosters insight, self-acceptance, and a sense of safety in being seen. Once this foundation of relational safety is established, sessions integrate tailored therapeutic practices to help process past experiences, shift painful emotions, and transform long-held limiting beliefs — supporting healing, integration, and growth.

‘The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.’
